South Carolina Football Recruiting: Alfy Hill Commits

Alfy Hill has committed to the South Carolina football program and will sign with the Gamecocks as part of the 2013 recruiting class.

Hill originally signed with Alabama out of West Brunswick High School in Shallotte, N.C. in February 2010, but he was denied admission. He briefly enrolled at East Carolina before going the junior college route at LA Valley Community College.

The 6’4″, 255-pounder is known for his speed and athleticism off the edge, and is rated as a 4-star prospect, according to 247sports.com. Hill could fill the void left by Devin Taylor next season and could continue the defensive line dominance with Jadeveon Clowney on the other side.

Hill has three years left to play two so he does have the option of redshirt available to him but USC will more than likely throw him into the mix right away in 2013. Hill becomes South Carolina’s second commitment of the 2013 class.
