At this rate, Coach Tanner and his baseball team might not ever have to buy a meal or drink in Columbia ever again.

At the parade today, a crowd lined the street from the courthouse to the state capital at least 3 rows deep.  Then on the capital steps, there was another large crowd gathered waiting on the team to make its way down Main Street.

The crowd was lively and soaking up every bit of the championship celebration.  Coach Tanner and his family lead off the parade followed by floats with Cocky, different players and a float with Enders, Moralas, Neff and a few other holding the National Championship trophy high in the air. There were a couple 2010 National Championship Under Armour Hummers followed by a float with the real Gamecock on it (Sir Big Spur).

Overall, it was a great parade and the City of Columiba did a wonderful job putting it together in a short period of time.  At the State House, Tanner was given the key to the City of Columbia.  He also spoke and again thanked Gamecock Nation for the support.

This has been quite a world wind for this team, and I know there are still great things to come.  I have a feeling USC and the State of South Carolina will embrace this team for a long time as we will never forget our first National Championship.
Here are a few pictures from the parade today that I took.......
