Devan Downey Hooping It Up In Turkey

Former South Carolina basketball star Devan Downey is back to playing basketball in Turkey after taking time off for the holidays.  Downey is playing for Antalya BSB and averages 12.5 points a game, two rebounds and three assists.  In his last game, he dropped nine points for his team in their loss to Galatasaray Cafe Crown.

By looking at his numbers thus far, and I am no expert, he has to improve if he wants a NBA team to take a chance on him.  All Gamecock fans, well college basketball fans in general, know he has the talent and the game for the star level.  He just needs to sharpen his skills and work on his shooting.  He has the speed to get in the lane but he needs to work on the outside jumper along with his passing skills.

This Gamecocks blog speaks for all Gamecock fans when we wish him lots of luck in his pursuit for a NBA career.
