62 is the Carolina record for TD passes in a career. To no one’s surprise that record is held by Steve Taneyhill. Taneyhill played from 1992 to 1995 and has his name written all over the record book. Known by some outsiders for his long flowing hair as much as his arm, he forever endeared himself to the Gamecock faithful when he signed the Tiger Paw at midfield against that school in Pickens County.
He has become a successful high school coach in his second life. At Chesterfield he won 3 state championships, and he is about to begin his first season at Union County High School.
