Due to a Glitch, Gamecocks Drop in Rankings

“When it rains, it pours” is the old saying.  I think that was said when talking about USC football as the hits keep coming after a loss to Auburn.

The University of South Carolina Football team fell in the polls and that was expected after losing to Auburn.  But now, on their day off, they fall again.

Sunday afternoon the polls came out and had USC 19th in the AP Poll and 22nd in the Coaches Poll. Now due to a technical glitch the Gamecocks moved down to No. 20 Sunday night after it was learned that an out of date ballot was used in tabulating the Associated Press college football poll.

I hope the bad luck washes away with this recent rain event we are getting and some good luck begins to occur with our football program.  From the NCAA, to Saunders and Giles, then to the devasting news of K Mac….it has been a trying few weeks for the fans and program.

The Gamecocks have a bye week this week, much needed by the way, and then SC will face the mighty Crimison Tide it what could be either a 3:30pm CBS game or a 7:45pm ESPN/ESPN2 game.

Here are the latest SEC rankings…
