BlogPoll 2011: Trying Not to Be a SEC Homer in the Preseason

The BlogPoll Top 25 is back for 2011 and in this preseason it was tough to not be a “SEC homer” in my rankings with so many good SEC squads this season.

This Gamecocks blog gets the luxury of being part of some of the webs best sports blogs weighing in on who the Top 25 teams are each week.

Take a look below at our preseason ballot and feel free to tell us where we are wrong:

Here are some of my thoughts on this poll and why I voted the way I did –

*I ranked these teams on who I feel are the Top 25 heading into 2011 based on the strength of the team not on how they will finish.

*The Sooners are the best team heading into 2011, I’m I wrong?

*LSU would have been higher but they have a arrest issue so the Broncos go ahead of them.

*I not buying the Standford hype.

*VT will end up in the Top 7 by the end of the year due to a weak schedule but right not they are not in the Top 10 in my book.

*I like the Utes heading into the season.

Alright what did I get wrong?
