Gamecock Recommendation: The Private Life of David Reed

This Gamecocks Blog rarely goes outside of talking Gamecock sports or sports in general but we must give a recommendation to the best musical artisit out there.  Yes we are bias as he has been a friend for many years.  He too is a Gamecock and we would like to give him a “shout out” as his CD dropped today.

David Reed is a great person with tremendous depth as a person and can lay down lyrics with the best of them.  Us here at LOHD can recall the days of the Elbow Room helping carry band equipment in the door for the group he was part of then-known as the Thomas Reed Band.  The members of the band are fraternity brothers of ours and we have watched them grow up in some sense.  All the original guys are still involved in music and now David is on a solo tour that has taken him across the nation.  Dave Baker is a producer now and little Nat is helping pimp his brother through the record company.

You can do no wrong and I swear you will enjoy seeking out his music.  You can thank us later.

This Rock/Alternative disc was released today on Chamberlain Records.  Here is the link to iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-private-life-of-david-reed/id399376694

There also will be a CD Release show this Friday at New Brookland Tavern.  What better way to celebrate the upcoming UF Gators win by getting a early start on what will be a great weekend by attending this show. Here is the link to the Facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=111790838885202
